If you’re heading to Minnesota or if you’re a local I’m sure you’ve heard of Mall of America. But did you know you could actually stay the night at Mall of America? Radisson Blu Mall of America offers the perfect holiday getaway from the cold. There’s something for everyone! I spent a weekend at Radisson Blu Mall of America with my husband and two toddlers. It was one of the most fun staycations we’ve had with so much to do that we couldn’t even squeeze in everything we wanted to see or do if we tried. Easy to say that we’ll definitely be back. Here are a few things we absolutely loved about our stay…

Disclaimer: This trip was graciously hosted by Radisson Blu Mall of America. However, all opinions remain my own.

Fort Blu Package

Our stay included the Fort Blu package, which is the perfect option for those who’d like to have an adventure without even leaving their room. This special offer lets kids camp in a tent right in the hotel room. They get to take the tent (and other goodies) home for more fun down the road! My kids absolutely loved the star projector. We also had fun playing card games and s’mores kit that came with the package.

On-Site Dining

We had the chance to visit Radisson Blu Mall of America’s on-site restaurant, FireLake Grill House & Restaurant. It’s one of the premier destinations in the state when it comes to the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious, farm-to-table meal in an upscale yet unpretentious environment. Nathan and I highly recommend the Heirloom Corn Crusted Walleye. It was delicious! They also have a great kids menu for dinners and breakfasts as well.

You can start each morning dining at FireLake Grill House & Restaurant or you can order off of their breakfast menu via room service. We started each day with breakfast in bed. We were completely charged for the remainder of the mornings since the portions were nice and full.

Amenities

As if being connected to hundreds of attractions wasn’t enough, the hotel also housed a pool, spa, and 24 hour gym. One of our kids’ favorite parts of the stay was making use of their indoor pool. Each room also comes with a mini fridge, safe box, and blackout curtains. Our room specifically had great views of the MSP airport so the kids loved watching for airplanes taking off!

Attractions

As mentioned before, one of the main draws of Radisson Blu Mall of America is that it’s directly connected to the mall via skyway. You don’t even have to step outside to get into the mall, which is so convenient! We could slip right out of bed and head down to over 500 shops and attractions like Sea Life, Crayola Experience, and so much more. We decided to spend most of our time at Nickelodeon Universe, which is home to 7 acres of rides and attractions. My son, Kai, is also a little golf enthusiast, so we had to make a stop at Moose Mountain Adventure Golf.

Of course, I had to make a few stops myself to get some retail therapy in! With retailers like Nordstrom, H&M, Forever21, Old Navy, and Zara I could have spent an entire weekends simply just shopping.

So there you have it! if you’re looking for an easy getaway in Minnesota without having to wander too far for things to do or places to eat I highly recommend a weekend at Radisson Blu Mall of America!
